Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and username, along with authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider (for example, Sign in with Apple).

Content you create. Your tasks, habits, goals, plans, completion history, streaks, and messages you send to the in-app assistant are stored so the Service can work and stay in sync across your devices.

Usage and device data. We collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, time zone, language, crash reports, and how you interact with features. We use this to keep the Service reliable and improve it.

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, maintain, and sync the Service across your devices;
• power assistant features — messages you send to the assistant, and relevant context like your tasks and goals, are processed by our AI service providers to generate responses;
• send notifications you have enabled, such as reminders and check-ins (you can turn these off in your device settings);
• respond to support requests;
• understand usage so we can improve features and fix problems;
• protect the security and integrity of the Service; and
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and database providers, AI model providers that process assistant conversations, and push notification services. These providers may only use your information to provide services to us;
• Other users, to the limited extent you choose — for example, your username and score on leaderboards you join or friends you connect with;
• Legal authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Awen, our users, or others; and
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

Wend includes an assistant powered by third-party large language models. When you chat with the assistant, your messages and relevant account context (such as task titles and schedules) are sent to our AI service providers to generate a response. We do not permit these providers to use your conversations to train their models.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual content at any time in the app. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backup copies are purged on a rolling basis.

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and scoped credentials — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (edit your profile, delete content, delete your account) or by contacting us. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information on the legal bases of contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent. If you are a California resident, you may also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; as noted above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, using appropriate safeguards where required.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
